3 things to do when life sucks and grief overwhelms

Hello my friend.

Have you ever been in a place where life is sucking the energy out of you? Maybe you’re dealing with grief and loss and it feels overwhelming. It simply stinks, doesn’t it? I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. Here are a few thoughts that hopefully can increase your hope level and encourage you today.

First of all, I want to encourage you to look at other people who have been through horrific experiences and gain hope from how they coped. There are many who have gone through tough times and instead of existing forward, they are actually  living forward with their pain.

One person who comes to mind is Witold Pilecki. He was a Polish army officer during World War II who intentionally was arrested and sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp, to gather information to help the allies. Despite the horrors he witnessed and experienced, he never gave up hope and continued to work towards a resistance movement. His story is a powerful example of how even in the darkest of situations, we can find hope.

Secondly, I want you to know that if one human being can find hope in a hopeless situation, then so can you. You are not helpless, even if at times you feel hopeless. Seeking help and support is a sign of strength, not weakness. The fact that you are reading this article shows that you are actively trying to find ways to cope and overcome your struggles. Remember that you are not alone, and there are people who care about you and want to help.

Lastly, I want to remind you that it’s okay to feel bad and to grieve. You don’t have to compare your experiences to others or feel guilty for feeling down. Everyone’s journey is different. By seeking out inspiration from others and remembering that hope is possible, we can begin to move forward and find meaning even in the midst of pain.

So, my friend, know this: YOU are capable of overcoming whatever challenges which come your way. You are not alone, and there is always hope.
