Jay and his wife Erin have two rambunctious young boys named Hoover and Hutson. Jay attended Harding University, where he played on the men’s basketball team and graduated with degrees in accounting and business management.
Jay is an investment banker with Stephens Inc. in Little Rock, AR. He advises community banks located throughout the southwest and southeast in mergers and acquisitions and capital raises.
Jay and Erin attended the Spark of Life Gala in 2013 as guests of their dearest friends who are shining examples of Living Forward. In August of 2015 they attended a Spark of Life Retreat in Alaska. Inspired by such powerful testimonies and convicted by the great need of countless others, their involvement and support has grown since then. Jay joined the Spark of Life Board in 2015.
Gary and his wife Barbara have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. He graduated from Harding University in Searcy, AR with a degree in Accounting in 1973. He is a member of the Arkansas and Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, and also of the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Gary is President of GMH of Sherwood, AR, and is part owner of a 53 bed intermediate care facility for special needs children located in North Little Rock, AR.
Gary and Barbara attended the first full Spark of Life Retreat in 2010, and they have been staunch supporters ever since. He joined the Spark of Life Board in 2012.
Doug and his wife Joanne live in Colorado, and have one daughter (Meghan), and one daughter in Heaven (Rachael). They attended the first Spark of Life Retreat in Sterling, AK (#24) soon after losing their eldest daughter Rachael in an off-road vehicle accident in May 2013. A beneficiary of the grief retreat and living forward, Doug felt moved to join the Spark of Life Board in 2015.
He graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO with a BS in Construction Management, and has worked with large commercial construction companies across the United States before returning to his home state of Colorado.
David and his wife Debbie have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. Their grandson Josiah lived a few minutes and is the inspiration for Spark of Life. They are co-founders of Spark of Life, and David serves as the Executive Director and Debbie as Retreat Co-ordinator. Also, they lead the Spark of Life retreats along with Rusty and Nancy Meadows, Dennis and Terri Rine, Mark and Jill Brazle, and Dick and Connie Nervig.
David graduated from Harding University, Searcy, AR and has a Masters in Counseling from the University of Louisiana in Monroe. Both Debbie and David are certified specialists in grief recovery.
